The League of Women Voters of the Ripon Area is hosting a Candidate Forum for all County Board candidates for Districts 2 and 6 representing the Ripon area on Wednesday, March 14th at 7:00pm in Ripon City Hall Council Chambers. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. The event will be taped and broadcast on the Ripon Cable channel.
This session will provide the voters of the Ripon information on each of the candidates allowing voters to make informed decisions.
Four county board candidates have been invited: Gary Will and Andrew Zuelke for District 2 and Lowell Prill and Michael Beer for District 6. The general election is Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Each candidate will be given two minutes for opening remarks then questions will be taken from the audience. Each candidate will have up to two minutes to answer each question. Candidates will be given one minute for closing remarks. Upon arrival, candidates will draw numbers to determine the order of appearance.
The League of Women Voters, a non-partisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League was founded in 1920 by Carrie Chapman Catt who was born in Ripon, Wisconsin.
